Glass reinforce plastics (GRPs)

 

GRPs are composites based on glass fibers. NPO Stekloplastic has accumulated a wide experience on making composite items using all known technologies (winding, compression and transfer molding, blow molding, injection molding, contact method). Our specialists are capable to solve all complex of scientific, technological and production tasks concerning making composite items, namely: problem statement and drawing up a requirements specification; selection of initial components; design of reinforcement diagram, design of technology, laboratory estimation of properties, design of industrial technology and equipment, mastering of industrial production.

For over 40 years we have been designing GRP items of radio engineering designation on the basis of reinforcement materials designed by our scientists. Complicated composites of radio engineering designation are capable to work in various bands-from meter up to submillimetric wave frequencies and some bands of microwave frequency. Such structures protect combined antenna devices from environmental effect, from power, static and dynamic loads. Our designs are widely used in airspace, navy, surface facilities of civil and special designation.

NPO Stekloplastic designs and produces nonmetallic flexible elements for thermal expansion joints. The expansion joints are intended for compensation of longitudinal, crosscut and angle movements of gas flues, air conduits and dust conduits. The structures are capable to operate at temperatures up to 650 oC and pressure up to 1,000 mm of water column. Overall dimensions are not restricted. These items are successfully operate over 10 years in heat-and-power objects of Russia, Western Europe and Asian regions.
